Activities
Homoglobiini is an organization for gay, lesbian, bi and trans students in Turku area and for those who are not yet certain about their sexual or gender identity. Homoglobiini was founded in 1990 by students themselves. We have more than 50 members and around 5-10 exchange student members every year. We have meetings twice a month, on every first and third Monday. The places are announced in our blog – see the Info -page. These meetings are an excellent opportunity to meet new people, discuss and make friends.
Student parties…
As tradition requires, we party on first may, and we also arrange a host of other parties, such as new members nights, festive annual celebrations with speeches, drinking songs and all those traditions… We have also arranged regular trips abroad and within Finland – often to Helsinki.
Other events
We go to museums, movies, theater, we play laser war in Megazone and do all kinds of fun things depending on our members interests. Sometimes we have guest lecturers, too. In the past these have included makeup training, BDSM-introduction (a lecture)…
We are an active member of ANSO (Association of Nordic LGBT Student Oranizations) and as such we participate in the annual conferences held by our association. We also participate in the board of Anso on our quest to make the world a Better Place.
Note that you can read about our future activities in english by selecting the ”In english” category/link in the sidebar. You can take contact with the board via email, our address is posti (at) homoglobiini.fi
