Homoglobiini is the oldest LGBTQ student organization in Finland. This year we celebrate our 18th anniversary. In Finland this age quite important as you then are allowed to get married, get a driving licence and – of course – buy mild alcohol products.
Homoglobiini has a tradition to celebrate every year at the Old Town Hall, across the street from the Cathedral (address: Vanha Suurtori 7). The festive dinner has three courses: starters (sallad), main course (chicken/vegetable) and dessert. Dinner also includes drinks and shots. During the dinner there will also be singing, speeches will be held and a diploma is handed out to the most merited Homoglobiini member of 2008. During the afterparty downstairs in the medieval cellar there will be party music played by a dj as well as normal hit and pop music. The afterparty is BYOB.
The first 40 people have room in the party. We are also inviting people from Tampere, Helsinki, Espoo and Jyväskylä. Please send your participation announcements to board (posti(at)homoglobiini.fi) at the latest on November 10th. This event costs 12 euros. When signing up, please notify which main course you like to have (chicken/vegetable) and the drink you like to have with the food (white/red wine, beer, cider, water) as well as your possible allergies. Dresscode: dark suit/evening gown/other celebrative outfit.
