HOMOGLOBIINI

Homoglobiini arranges a lecture series on saturday 26th of april. Preliminary programme: PhD Pekka Santtila from Åbo Akademi and University of Turku lectures at 12-13 about biological psychology, talking about genetic effects on potential on homosexual response and the challenges that this places on present definitions on homosexuality. FM, researcher Tom Linkinen from University of Turku speaks of the cultural history of homosexuality at 13-14. Sexuality councellor and midwife Katriina Bildjuschkin talks about relationships and their associated problems at 14-15. These lectures will be held at Turkusali at Ylioppilastalo A. The program may still get extended. Highly interesting lectures are to be expected. Turun opiskelevat vihreät – the green students of Turku have a seminar on sexual minorities and legislation during the same weekend (fri 25.4 – sat 26.4). We will update this with more information as we know more.

Helsinki-based lgbt student organization OVI is throwing an 6th anniversary party in Helsinki on March 28th and they’ve also invited Homoglobiini to join them. The official invitation goes as follows:

“OVI’s very relaxed, casual and informal anniversary party will be held
on March 28th, 6 pm at Benita Hall, Leppäsuonkatu 9 B. Sign on by
sending an email to Anni.Forselius(a)helsinki.fi by March 21st. The food
served will be Indian vegetarian. Let us know if you have any allergies
or follow a special diet.

After this exquisite candlelit supper we will spend the night
socializing, playing SingStar and watching movies (bring your own!). The
price is 5 euros for the alcoholic menu (includes one glass of wine,
tell us in your mail if you prefer red or white), 4 euros for a
nonalcoholic one. Payments to OVI’s bank account number 660100-1196112
by March 25th. If you want to drink more alcohol, BYOB. ”

If you’re going, please also inform HG’s board so that we can inform you if we are going together with a train.

Turku Seta arrange another party on Saturday, the March 22nd at Klubi (Humalistonkatu 8 ), starting at 22. Entrance fee is 4/5 euros (discount with HG’s membership card), cloakroom 2 euros. Lara will be playing the records.

For those who were not there last time: the old entrance is again in use in Seta’s parties.

For the second meeting in March we have something special in mind for you. We are going use video projector to view old photos of HG’s events both in Finland and abroad. And I bet that in the meanwhile you are going to hear many hilarious stories about the events behind the pics. This memorizing ‘oldies goldies’ event will be held at Turku Seta’s office (Rauhankatu 1 c B 22) on March 17th at 19 o’clock. We will offer some snacks and soft drinks to go. Welcome!

Our first meeting in March is on Monday, the 3rd at 19.15. Our meeting will be held – as usual – at bar Suxes (Yliopistonkatu 9). Welcome! =)

Helsinkiläinen hlbt-opiskelijayhdistys OVI täyttää 6 vuotta ja järjestää sen kunniaksi juhlat 28.3. Homoglobiinilaiset on kutsuttu mukaan, alla virallinen kutsu:

“OVI juhlistaa 6-vuotista taivaltaan järjestämällä vuosijuhlat
perjantaina 28. maaliskuuta. Tilaisuus pidetään Benita-salissa
(Leppäsuonkatu 9 B).

Tilaisuus on luonteeltaan rento ja epämuodollinen, joten asukin on
vapaa. Tervetuloa!”

Jos ilmoittaudut mukaan, niin ilmoita myös HG:n hallitukselle, että tiedämme moniko on paikan päälle menossa ja kenelle ilmoittaa jos menemme vaikka samalla junalla.

Turun seudun Seta järjestää taas bileet Klubilla lauantaina 22. maaliskuuta klo 22 alkaen. Narikka 2 e, sisäänpääsy 4/5 e (alennus HG:n kortilla). Hittikimaraa pyörittää Lara.

Tiedoksi kaikille jotka eivät olleet paikalla viime kerralla: käytössä on nyt vanha sisäänkäynti ja narikka, joten Setan porukka pääsee sisään ilman ‘tavallisen rahvaan’ läpi kulkemista tai pahaa jonottamista. Kuuleman mukaan myös Live- ja iltapuolen välinen ovi pyritään saamaan auki ensi kerralla.

Maaliskuun toisessa tapaamisessa muistellaan menneitä vuosia: Vienolan mökkiviikonloppuja, ulkomaanmatkoja ja kaikkea muuta mitä on tapahtunut vuosien varrella. Katsomme toimiston tykillä kuvia ja eiköhän samalla myös tule esille monen monituista tapausta ja sattumusta kuvien takaa. Tarjolla on pikkupurtavaa ja juomaa. Tämä siis maanantaina 17. maaliskuuta kello 19 alkaen Turun seudun Setan toimistolla osoitteessa Rauhankatu 1 c B 22.
