To be watched is all four Alien movies. We’ll start watching at 2 pm @ the TuSETA office (Rauhankatu 1cB 22). Bring your own foods/drinks).
Homoglobiini’s March 2010
Here’s some info for you in a nutshell about Homoglobiini’s events in March. Don’t forget to read your email as we are going to inform of each individual event later via mailing list.
- 1.3. Bar evening at Suxes (Yliopistonkatu 9) at 7 pm. The board has a meeting before the evening at 5 pm at Edison which is located in the corner of Linnankatu and Kauppiaskatu streets.
- 15.3. Glow in the dark minigolf or bowling at Kiitorata (Yliopistonkatu 29) at 7 pm.
- 18.3. A sitz party with a theme “Lovely” or “Wonderful” or “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” or anything as gay and pink at Osis (a student-owned club in the Turku University’s campus area). As our company in this party are going to be the italian language students of Turku University (Pappagallo ry) and humanities students of Åbo Akademi (Humanistiska Föreningen).
In addition to these, we also have lunch meetings at student restaurant Tottisalmi (Kirkkotie 13) on fridays if so announced. We meet at the second floor at the entrance to the restaurant. So follow your email! We will inform of the lunches on members mailing list.
Meeting at bar Proffan Kellari on Dec 7th
Our first meeting in December will be at bar Proffan Kellari (Rehtoripellonkatu 4, next to Student House B) on Monday, December 7th at 19 or 7 pm. We have a cabinet reserved on the second floor.
Meeting in bar Three Beers on Nov 2nd
We start November already on the second day as we have a meeting in bar Three Beers in the Student Village (Inspehtorinkatu 4) at 19. We have some chat over our forthcoming annual party (November 14th) and also if someone wants to join the board as the new board will be selected soon (November 16th). After the formal part we’re having some board games and there’s also possibility to play billiard.
Minigolf @ Kiitorata on Oct 19th
Our other meeting for October makes you feel like Tiger Woods (at least without a billion dollars) as we head for indoor minigolf in UV lighting in Kiitorata (Yliopistonkatu 29) on Monday, 19th of October. One round on the track (9 holes) costs 6 euros. See you there at 19 (or 7pm)!
Meeting at Proffan kellari on Oct 5th
For our first meeting in October we’re trying a new place for us – that is bar Proffan kellari (in English ‘Professors’ cellar’), which you can find from the address Rehtoripellonkatu 4 (on the front yard of Student House B). Have have reserved a cabinet from the second floor, see you there at 19!
Event for newbies on Sep 21st
Our traditional newbies’ event will be held on Monday, September 21st at 19.00 at Tenants’ Association’s (VY) party room (address: Inspehtorinkatu 4 B) at the student village. All even slightly interested are welcome.
During this informal event you can see the current board members and hear about our activities in a nutshell. After this there’s some barbecuing and free chatting. Homoglobiini offers you some snacks and drink.
BBQ on August 12th
On the second meeting on August we’ll go barbequeing in the Studentwillage at 18.00 in front of YO-kylä 18 A (map). If it rains, we’ll head to the legendary bar Three Beers. Bring your own meat, sausage or whatever you want.
Minigolf on tue 4.8.
We’re not going to stay indoors but our next meeting will be a minigolf battle. We’ll meet on minigolf track in student village (map) next Tuesday, August 4th at 18. Track is open till 20 and costs only 2 euros (others than students 3,5 e). You can also bring your own drinks, although some soft drinks are sold in there too.
Lunch & party warm-up on Friday, Sep 11th
In our latest meeting we were talking aout new means of reaching our members in a informal way. Two ideas came up, both of which were thought earlier by the board.
1) Lunch: We’re having a lunch together at student restaurant Tottisalmi (Kirkkotie 13, in the same building as the student healthcare, 2nd level). We’ll meet at the lobby at 13.30 and then go in. Based on feedback we then decide whether to have these every week or every fortnight and also, in which restaurant we should prefer (if any particular one). Unfortunately there’s no English menu online, but someone can translate it for you in situ. There’s always one veg dish for sure.
2) Party pre-warming: there’s a gay party coming up this Friday at Klubi (Humalistonkatu 8, free entrance between 22 & 23, otherwise 4/5 e + 2 e left jacket, dj Lara) and we’ll warm up at the gay bar Suxes (Yliopistonkatu 9, inner yard), starting at 21. We will then proceed to Klubi before 23.
